Contraindications for hydrodermabrasion
Unfortunately, there are some conditions that present contraindications to hydrodermabrasion. Please review the following list. Please note that this list is not exhaustive – if you have a medical condition that is not listed here, please feel free to contact us or if in doubt, please refer to your General Practitioner.
MINOR CONTRAINDICATIONS, AFFECTED AREAS WILL BE AVOIDED:
Seborrheic Dermatitis
Eczema
Telangiectactasia (broken capillaries)
Mild to Moderate Rosacea
Raised Moles, Keloid Scars, Skin Tags, Warts
Psoriasis
Cuts, Bruises, Abrasions
TREATMENT SHOULD BE DELAYED IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ARE PRESENT:
Skin cancer (facial)
Severe sun burn
Moderate to severe inflammatory acne
Active cold sores, viral lesions, open skin lesions, impetigo
Active inflammatory acne outbreak
Uncontrolled Rosacea
Uncontrolled Diabetes
Ringworm
Lack of tactile sensation
