Contraindications for hydrodermabrasion

Unfortunately, there are some conditions that present contraindications to hydrodermabrasion.  Please review the following list. Please note that this list is not exhaustive – if you have a medical condition that is not listed here, please feel free to contact us or if in doubt, please refer to your General Practitioner.

MINOR CONTRAINDICATIONS, AFFECTED AREAS WILL BE AVOIDED:

  • Seborrheic Dermatitis

  • Eczema

  • Telangiectactasia (broken capillaries)

  • Mild to Moderate Rosacea

  • Raised Moles, Keloid Scars, Skin Tags, Warts

  • Psoriasis

  • Cuts, Bruises, Abrasions

TREATMENT SHOULD BE DELAYED IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ARE PRESENT:

  • Skin cancer (facial)

  • Severe sun burn

  • Moderate to severe inflammatory acne

  • Active cold sores, viral lesions, open skin lesions, impetigo

  • Active inflammatory acne outbreak

  • Uncontrolled Rosacea

  • Uncontrolled Diabetes

  • Ringworm

  • Lack of tactile sensation
